Hummus for Dummies
(or the way that I’ve taught my minions to make it,
and if they can get it right, i’m sure you can as well)
Whats needed:
4 tins chickpeas, drained and 1/2 the liquid reserved
12 cloves garliclemon juice (about 125ml, probably a bit more)
60ml sesame oi
l60ml tahini
salt & pepper (we use prickly ash at work, but thats for another post)
The How:
Blend the garlic and sesame oil at high speed until its a smooth paste
Add the chickpeas,tahini,lemon juice and enough canning liquid to form a not so stiff paste
Blend till smoothSeason to taste, adjust lemon juice till it tastes right.
Serve with monastery bread or crackers.
