On Tuesday night, the 5th February 2008, Ernst Steidl hung up his apron for the last
time, as New owners took over the quarterdeck and the Chalet Suisse on Wednesday
morning. One of East  London’s longest serving chef’s and restauranteurs has retired
after being here for 34 years.
